HISTORY
Johnson Racing started racing go-karts in 1995 when Zach was 10 years old.  They ran those for 5 years in Alexandria.  They traveled to Cedar Mills, Atwater, and Grove City also.  In 2000 Zach moved up to the Midwest Modified division and started racing weekly at Viking Speedway.  In 2002, Johnson Racing won their first feature at Viking, along with 2 more that season, and they finished 2nd in the track points.  In 2003 Zach won 4 weekly shows at Viking and earned the Midwest Mod track championship.  A month later, he won the inaugural Viking Fall Classic.  In 2004, Johnson Racing decided to run more shows, and they began to take their team on the road.  They ran weekly at KRA Speedway in Willmar, MN, Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN, Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN, and also ran several shows at Madison Speedway in Madison, MN.  They earned the track championship at Fiesta City Speedway that year, and got 7th in the WISSOTA National points.  In 2005 Zach made the jump to the full-blown Modified Division, and continued racing Midwest Mods also.  That year, Johnson Racing won 11 features total between the two classes, including the Western 100 with the Midwest Mod, and another Fall Classic win, this time with the Modified.  In 2006 Johnson Racing swapped the Midwest Mod for a MastersBilt Late model, and began racing both Modified and Late model.  Zach won 6 mod features and earned the championships at both Viking Speedway, and Fiesta City Speedway.  Johnson Racing also won their first Late Model feature at Fiesta City Speedway in August.  In 2007 they concentrated their efforts mainly on the Late Model, but continued to compete in the Modified division as well.  They purchased a new 2007 Rayburn North chassis and won 11 features, including 10 clean sweeps.  Johnson's efforts earned them the Minnesota State WISSOTA Late Model Championship, and the WISSOTA Amsoil Series National Championship!
